Privacy policy

TradeLicenseTests.com is an independent exam-prep site. This policy explains the small amount of data the site handles. We do not run a customer database, and the only contact we publish is email.

Pass cookie

When a purchase is verified, the site stores a stateless pass in an HTTP-only cookie named tlt_pass. The cookie holds a signed token (HMAC-SHA256), not a password and not a card number. It expires 30 days after the purchase time. The same token is shown once as a recovery code so you can open the pass on another browser. You can delete the cookie in your browser at any time.

Study progress on your device

Exam scores and attempt history are saved in this browser's localStorage under a key that starts with tlt-attempts. That data stays on the device. It is not uploaded to TradeLicenseTests. Clearing site data in the browser removes it.

Payments

Checkout is handled by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe's pages, not on ours. We send Stripe the exam title, the price, and a return URL. Stripe sends back a Checkout session id, which we use only to confirm payment and sign the pass. We do not store card numbers.
